چکیده

Abstract This paper presents a new algorithm based on interval methods for rigorously constructing inner estimates of feasible parameter regions together with enclosures the solution set parameter-dependent systems nonlinear equations in low (parameter) dimensions. The proposed method allows to explicitly construct sets around regular value, and enclose particular curve (resp. manifold) by union inclusion regions, simultaneously. is calculation exclusion zeros square equations. Starting from an approximate at fixed p parameters, provides algorithmic concept how box $${\mathbf {s}}$$ s such that each element $$s\in {\mathbf ∈ existence can be proved within certain error bounds.

Exclusion Regions for Systems of Equations

Branch and bound methods for finding all zeros of a nonlinear system of equations in a box frequently have the difficulty that subboxes containing no solution cannot be easily eliminated if there is a nearby zero outside the box. This has the effect that near each zero many small boxes are created by repeated splitting, whose processing may dominate the total work spent on the global search. Th...

Exclusion regions for optimization problems

Branch and bound methods for finding all solutions of a global optimization problem in a box frequently have the difficulty that subboxes containing no solution cannot be easily eliminated if they are close to the global minimum. This has the effect that near each global minimum, and in the process of solving the problem also near the currently best found local minimum, many small boxes are cre...

A Parameter-Dependent Performance Criterion for Linear Parameter-Varying Systems

Existing control theory for linear parameter-varying systems uses a uniform-in-the-parameters upper bound (a constant scalar) on the induced-L 2 norm. In this paper, this constant is generalized to a function of the parameters; the performance criterion generalizes to an integral quadratic constraint and implies a norm bound that depends naturally on the real-time parameter trajectory. As in ex...

Parameter Dependent Extremal Norms for Linear Parameter Varying Systems

We study families of time-varying linear systems with restrictions on the derivative of the parameter variation. This includes the systems usually considered in the area of linear parameter varying (LPV) systems. We show that it is possible to construct exact parameterized Lyapunov norms for a wide class of such systems. This may be used to derive (locally Lipschitz) continuous dependence of th...

Model Reduction for Linear Parameter-Dependent Systems

The paper considers the problem of model reduction for a class of linear parameterdependent (LPD) systems. Three model reduction approaches: balanced truncation, balanced LQG truncation and gain-scheduledH∞ model reduction, are presented to reduce the dimension of LPD systems. For the former two approaches, conditions to proceed the reduction are given in terms of a finite number of linear matr...
